Driven by the growing demand for efficient power management in compact electronic systems, High-current inductors continue to gain importance across multiple industries. A newly introduced SMD high-current inductor has recently attracted market attention for its optimized balance of size, performance, and reliability. Designed with an RM6 core, this component supports stable magnetic characteristics while enabling high current handling, making it suitable for modern power conversion and regulation applications

The inductor features an inductance value of 1R8, corresponding to 1.8 µH, which is well aligned with the needs of high-frequency switching circuits. Multiple tolerance options are available, including N at +30%, M at +20%, and K at ±10%, providing flexibility for different design and cost considerations. Supplied in carrier taping packing style, the product is compatible with automated SMT assembly processes, improving manufacturing efficiency and consistency.
Inductance performance is tested at 100 kHz and 1 Vrms using an Agilent/HP 4192A or equivalent instrument, ensuring reliable and repeatable measurement results. DCR is measured with a micro-ohmmeter to accurately assess conduction losses, which is critical for thermal and efficiency evaluations. Saturation current is defined as the DC current at which inductance drops by approximately 35% of its initial value at an ambient temperature of 25°C, while the temperature rise current corresponds to a temperature increase of about 50°C under the same conditions. With these characteristics, the inductor is positioned to support high-current, high-density power designs in an increasingly demanding electronics market.
